Lovely Postcards from Virginia

Don't you just love postcards? I do!

ok for our next letter from the great state of Virginia! The home of Thomas Jefferson, Colonial Williamsburg, and a D-Day memorial for soldiers whom were killed at Normandy. We love the state map postcard. We were able to look at it and pick a place we hadn't heard of and do a internet search! Awesome! Who knew learning could be so fun!

Letter # 2

So sorry for the lateness of this update, but here is info from our second letter!
From the great state of Maryland. A horse loving lady who is a life long resident lives on a beautiful farm. Oh and the snow, 15 inches a year,if not more, if only Southeast Texas ever got real snow!I would give anything if our summers stayed in the 90's or below She goes on to tell us that Maryland has lots of jobs because it is close to Washington DC. Baltimore was founded in 1729 and the largest seaport in the Mid-Atlantic. Maryland is famous for it's blue crabs and crab cakes! Yummy! Baltimore is also the home of Fort McHenry, where the Star Spangled Banner Was written by Francis Scott Key in 1814. She wrote 3 wonderful pages with awesome pictures! Maryland is a state I would like to visit. We got a cute little piggy bank to our collection and a nice box of salt water taffy. So yummy, if you haven't tried this chewy taffy you must! Thanks for your letter!

Letter #1

Got a wonderful letter from Springfield, Ohio. I found the Longaberger Basket Company would be the place to visit. The girls couldn't get over how big the basket is. A must see place. Our family and friends first asked, "isn't that where the Simpsons live?" Ha ha ha. Really now! The touchdown Jesus burned down, hope they re-build it. We were amazed at the statue. Hopefully we can visit this wonderful state one day. Thanks so much Cathy from Ohio.

So I was feeling sad about this whole blog, just waiting around for something and I have 3 comments and 2 followers. I am so happy. The girls don't really care. I am sure that will change once we start getting letters, I am sure they will change their minds :} hopefully. So I will post when we get our first letter can't wait. I will let them post and blog too. counting the time down till I go to my mail box. yay!!

Still Waiting...

Guess we aren't very popular yet. Oh well we will get something soon. Just not sure when that will happen.
